autumn in gr

highs:
-spent the weekend in michigan taking my bro out for his 21st at mulligans & the silver derby.
-my brother had his first mulligan's stew, washington apple, dirty girl scout, icicle, and tequila shots. we got a little rowdy. i couldn't seem to stop yelling, "you down with OPP?!"
-one of the BEST lunches ever at real food cafe. (near my old house on mulford & linden) this had got to be one of the top 5 best places to eat in grand riggidy. true that double true.
-takin a walk at the calvin nature preserve

lows:
-metal nearly kicking ron's ass for wearing a roma sweatshirt
-mando passing out before i even got off the train in holland--not cool.
-200 yr. old bartender telling me i'm "seriously" pretty. (i never understood people prefacing a real question with "can i tell/ask you something?" who ever has said no to that?) i later realized there was a security camera behind the bar facing the parking lot where i had just changed my shirt. classy.

friday i drank with mando and his trail buddy "lebowski" at squaw's house. the ENTIRE appalachian trail, unbelievable. mando is healthy and in good spirits--he's rocking a fantastically huge beard. since i came back already sat morning i was unable to attend "bumbee-fest" in mando's honor. hope it was fun, any of you that went.

i'm at school tryin to get ahead so i can go to the design chicago expo at the mart this week. i have to get a bunch of boring/neccessary shit done today like:
-laundry (which is baloney)
-get groceries (pasta sauce, bolthouse, shiraz, skim milk, turkey, butter, carrots, tator tots)

kevin dekkinga, if you're reading this you did NOT call me this weekend to hang out. not once. i might have to un-friend you on myspace. this is for you.
