so today's adventure is called, "drive to grand rapids and try to find the bowling alley bar i left my debit card at on saturday night without my parents noticing that their car is missing" wish me luck.
still in michigan, completely enjoying my "summer vacation" and spending unbelievable amounts of time with old friends--some i haven't seen in ages.
highlights:
-being the "muscle" behind my dad's coin collection dealings.
-squaw pretending to strangle a hosta plant to death
-lunch with mom & ron--he had us laughing so hard we were crying...mom kept yelling, "stop it! i'm gonna puke!"
-the return of jon clemens, and his famed drinking habit
-seeing claire beyer's dad mowing the lawn in and outfit that appeared to be modeled after a stop light
-dinner at adam/claire's apt
-making gourmet dinners for my family/friends
-party at james' house (oberon, longhairs, you know the drill)
confession: i don't like watching award shows, but i do like looking at the red carpet pictures where they scrutenize these poor people for their body fat content and fashion choices. i guess i'm going to he-double-hockey-sticks.
i watched the movie junebug with my mom. normally i find southern accents frustrating, but ashley's is precious. also read "the girls guide to hunting and fishing." not the best book ever, but i admit i was disappointed when it was over. i tend to grow attached to characters like we're old friends.
goin back to chicago in a few days to start a new term. exciting/scary, the u-sh. i gotta go back though, i miss my kitty.

I changed my phone number, you know. Maybe you don't know. Whoops. I will call you this weekend. Possibly from Mexico.
My dad takes lawn mowing very seriously. The bandana. The tank top. Umbros.
I wish I was at your house talking to your mom and stealing your canned goods right now.
