not that i have much to offer, god knows i have so much to gain

friday: went to mcgee's with the boys from the roof, doogie & rosey. mcgee's is like taps (616) or duffy's (312) total blowout, but free.

saturday: farmer's market! we got there later than i had hoped, but i still walked away with asparagus, baby new potatoes, and a small bunch of pretty summer flowers. next time we go, we're going to skip breakfast so we can go nuts at the crepe stand. crepes with fresh herbs and cheese & crepes with fresh strawberry and raspberry jam--oh my! that night we made an appetizer feast of hummus & red peppers, fruit, cheese & crackers, and chips and guacamole which we enjoyed on the roof with a glass of shiraz.

galen was in town this weekend. he came over for a bit & we headed out to a party on roscoe & halstead, which is pretty much the gayest intersection in chicago, especially the night before the pride parade. met some interesting people, some strange people, and had a great time.

sunday: claire, dad, & stephanie took me out for lunch at the cheesecake factory. laughs and cheesecake--what's not to love? i can't wait to see her again soon. after lunch i headed to boystown & watched the parade with sarah, andra & jessica. pure insanity. last night i watched "surfwise" with christopher & matt. go see this movie, it's wonderful.

today i have a laundry list of things i need to accomplish, which unfortunately actually includes laundry. i may be coming home to michigan for the fourth. if so, plan on pbr, red dock, cooking conversations, lessons in sewing, and walks at saugatuck state park.
