is it getting heavy? well i thought it was already as heavy as can be.

monday:
-met & wooed the owners of the showroom i work at.
-ate dinner with coworkers/vendors/owners at a fancy french restaurant called bistro margot in old town.

-drank wine on the roof and did not go to bed on time.

tuesday:
-woke up at 5:30 am to pick galen up from the blue line.
-tried to eat breakfast at chicago diner--but those hippies don't open until 11 am.

-ate a portobello quesadilla.
-took amtrak to michigan.

wednesday:
-went to a farm in holland to help clayre pick flowers for the wedding. she picked peonies, baptesia, and pepper grass.
-ran some wedding-related errands.
-gave joe & clayre their wine rack gift. a bottle for year 1, day 1, and today (the bottle we shared a toast with)
-sat outside erin & peter's barn & got thousands of mosquito bites.
-talked about music, sex, porn, and the crc. i would love to copyright that book title. stayed up way past my bedtime.

thursday:
-was awoken by dad yelling, "hey 5am!"
-got my nails done. the chick there told me i had the worst nails she had seen in 15 years. thanks lady, i appreciate that.

friday:
-brother wedding day
-made 17 or so flower arrangements for the wedding ceremony/reception.

-gave a toast. cried a ton. spilled wine on galen. talked to a bunch of family/friends. barely tried the food, forgot to eat wedding cake, forgot to sign guest book.
-hung out on the porch at squaw's & crashed at my brother's house. wrote "meat is fun" on their fridge.

I almost cried reading about your brother's wedding, and I've only met Clayre once and a half. What a nice thing to whisper to someone.

When I was a vegetarian, you told me "But--meat is GOOD" until one day I ate a hamburger. And now I'm making ham in the crock pot. Damn you and your persuasion.

Did I or did I not strongly urge you to put on the right-by-the-door insect repellent?

If you think mussels are a challenging texture wait until you and I go for raw oysters on the half shell. Bloody Marys if it's the morning or Vodka Martinis if it's night.
